When one starts to get to grips with the requirements of the Ecodesign Directive with regard to HVAC systems, one encounters a plethora of regulations.

In addition to a large number of national regulations that have to be observed, there are the motor and fan regulations, the EU 2014/1253 and EU 2016/2281 regulations for the environmentally friendly design of ventilation equipment or air heating and cooling products, process coolers and fan coils, to name but a few. It is difficult to know where to start. The article can be downloaded and  is therefore intended to provide advice on how to better incorporate and allocate the requirements of the regulations.
