Efficient interaction: TransTherm heat transfer stations combined with TopTronic® supervisor control technology and Hoval heat generators in the heating system

A heating network performs profitably and efficiently when all the necessary components are perfectly in sync with one another. Hoval has been working on perfecting this system concept for decades with a range of heating and climate technology solutions. Hoval provides a complete solution: everything from a single source.

Intensive support in both design and execution

Hoval's system expertise and years of experience in heating technology make it possible to design each heating network system according to the customer's needs and in the way that ensures the best possible value for money. Hoval provides support throughout the process, from the initial consultation to the actual execution, and with all parts of a project, from equipping the power station to selecting the heat transfer station in the building and the suitable control technology.

Hoval heat generators in the power station

In contrast to many heat transfer station suppliers, Hoval offers reliable and highly efficient solutions for generating and supplying heat to local and district heating networks: For gas applications, the Hoval UltraGas® condensing boiler is an ideal choice with its large water tank, which takes the strain off the hydraulic connection. For gas/oil applications, the Hoval Max-3 and Titan-3 are both capable of producing an exceptional performance. And for generating heat from wood, the Hoval BioLyt (50-160) pellet boiler can be connected in a 3-boiler cascade system to produce an output of almost 500 kW. The power station can also be equipped with a Hoval PowerBloc CHP unit, which is particularly efficient at producing power and heat when combined with the Hoval UltraGas®.

Networking and communication from a single source

The TopTronic® supervisor control and communication unit executes the higher-level control tasks in complex heating networks and communicates with the TopTronic® com control unit in the TransTherm heat transfer stations. The system monitors and controls the heating network and the transfer of information to the building technology system, whilst also providing a continuous supply of the relevant operational data, which can be conveniently monitored and analysed on the screen. It also optimises energy usage during heat generation.

Using local and district heating energy economically
The Hoval TransTherm Giro/Giro plus, TransTherm Comfort and TransTherm PRO heat transfer stations all ensure the efficient distribution of heat from the heating network to the individual consumers. The performance capacity and construction of the three model ranges are designed to meet a huge range of requirements and demands, from a single family home right up to large-scale, energy-intensive projects. All of the models are fitted with all the necessary components and are supplied as complete, ready-to-install systems.
A brief overview of the benefits of the three model ranges:

TransTherm Giro (16, 20, 40): Compact heat transfer station for refurbishments and new buildings
The TransTherm Giro compact heat transfer station is ideally suited to projects where building heating systems with existing components are to be integrated into a heating network – for example, as part of a refurbishment project or a subsequent conversion to a local heating system. The fully-welded stations feature flexible connection options and low pressure losses, as well as being easy to maintain and virtually indestructible.

TransTherm Giro plus (16, 20, 40): Compact heat transfer station with fresh water module and heating fitting group

The TransTherm Giro plus is a compact heat transfer station with an integrated fresh water module and heating fitting group. Thanks to its flexible connection options, it is equally suited to refurbishments and new buildings.

TransTherm Comfort (20, 40):High-quality, fully equipped heat transfer station for single family homes and small multi-family properties

TransTherm Comfort is a high-quality, fully-equipped district heating station for single family homes and small multi-family properties. This complete, ready-to-install solution not only includes all the components required for professional connection to the heating network, but also all system parts required for economically operating and controlling the heating and hot water supply.

TransTherm PRO: Heat transfer station produced individually to suit every application.

The TransTherm PRO offers a made-to-measure solution to suit all requirements and all power ranges above 30 kW. TransTherm PRO stations are designed and constructed specifically for your building from the ground up. Heating power of 30 to 5000 kilowatts and more can be achieved.

Quality for a reliable preservation of value

At Hoval, quality and efficiency go hand-in-hand. All heat transfer stations are fitted with high-quality stainless steel heat exchangers which ensure an efficient heat transmission process. The integrated high-efficiency pumps also save electricity costs. Durable materials guarantee a first-rate preservation of value and operating reliability. All stations are supplied as complete, ready-to-install systems. Thanks to their compact design, they require minimal space.
