Fun and education for 31 Rumanian children at the 11th Sika-Hoval summer camp!
These children enjoyed every day of this wonderful experience which took place in its 11th edition, thanks to the YANA initative, all volunteers and the
donations of many. The Hoval-Camp was held in Zarnesti, Brasov, at Hostel “Piatra Craiului” for one week in July. The children attending come from the YANA Foundation
day centers in Nicolae Balcescu, Valea Seaca and Galbeni. This year plus 7 children attended who were recommended by nearby schools, being rewarded for excellent
school results and desirable behavior. Also two blind children with great school results were integrated and made the same unforgettable experiences as the other
children.
The week was exciting as every day another motto was proclaimed. The children had fun but also learned to rely on each other and to help the weaker, to orientate
themselves in nature, to follow in a playful manner instructions and rules, to solve problems, to find solutions in challenging situations and many more. These
children belong to the poorest and need beside their families, who often to not have the time to care about them, attention and encouragement to develop their
personality.
The YANA foundation does this around the year with its care in the Day Centers. Hoval is proud to be part of this initiative and likes to share some impressions of the
summer camp with each of you. Enjoy!
