Why do HovalConnect and the control module show different times for error messages?

The times in plant messages shown on the heating control module (1) may differ from the times displayed on the HovalConnect platform (2) or in an e-mail or push notification (3).

This is because the system time of the HovalConnect platform is permanently synced with the Internet world time, while the time on the control module is set manually just once. Just as with clocks on kitchen appliances that are powered by the mains, frequency fluctuations in the power grid can then lead to time variations.

1.) The time for the heating control module is set during commissioning and may change as time goes by. This phenomenon is well known from radio alarm clocks or clocks on kitchen appliances and is caused by frequency fluctuations in the power grid.

Since the daily programmes are also activated based on the time setting in the control module, they should be checked regularly.
2.) The system time of the HovalConnect platform is based on the Internet world time and is adjusted automatically.
3.)The times shown in e-mails or push notifications correspond to the system time of the HovalConnect platform, so they also represent the Internet world time.
We recommend that you check the time setting for your control module regularly, since the daily programmes are also activated based on this time.

But even if the times do differ slightly, you can use the description to match up the HovalConnect messages to the control module quite easily.
