Hoval indoor climate systems with new heat pumps

Hoval indoor climate systems with new heat pumps

New R32 refrigerant and constant output from -10 to +43°C

All ventilation units in Hoval’s decentralised indoor climate systems are now equipped with the latest generation of heat pumps. With R32, the new energy generators utilise a refrigerant with low global warming potential. They also deliver consistently high heating and cooling capacities in an even wider temperature range. With the improved heat pumps, Hoval systems are consolidating their leading position as a simple, reliable and economical solution when it comes to air conditioning in single-storey halls.

Hoval has equipped the ventilation units of its decentralised indoor climate systems with optimised heat pumps. Supply and extract air handling units (RoofVent) as well as recirculation and supply air units (TopVent) are equipped with an energy generator which uses the refrigerant R32 and provides a constant output over a wide temperature range. This makes indoor climate control with Hoval even more efficient and sustainable.

“Thanks to the new refrigerant and the optimised area of application of the heat pumps, our decentralised indoor climate systems are an unbeatable solution for heating, cooling and ventilating single-storey halls,” enthuses Hoval Product Manager Michael Siegrist. “What’s more, if the required electricity is obtained from a photovoltaic system, we’re truly speaking of a self-sufficient system,” he adds.

State-of-the-art refrigerant

Working as evaporator coil systems, the heat pumps enable the direct transfer of energy into the supply air flow of the ventilation units – without an intermediate circuit with additional heat exchangers or energy transfer media. R32 is a state-of-the-art refrigerant with a GWP (global warming potential) of 675, which has been reduced by 68%. Featuring excellent thermodynamic properties and a high energy density, it renders the heat pumps even more environmentally friendly and effective.

Constant output in a wide temperature range

The optimised heat pumps in 2 power ranges achieve their nominal output even at very high and very low temperatures. The 76 kW or 44 kW heat output is delivered constantly from -10°C, the 67 kW or 40 kW cooling capacity up to +43°C. The inverter technology continuously adjusts the output to the ventilation unit demand, ensuring efficient operation.

Simple, reliable and economical

Hoval indoor climate systems are the simple solution from a single source. The modular concept with self-sufficient individual units facilitates planning and customisation to individual requirements. The pre-assembled units – ventilation units complete with heat pump – are easy to install and maintain, and can be controlled intuitively via the integrated system control. The experienced Hoval service team is on hand to support customers at every stage of the project, ranging from planning to commissioning and maintenance.

The self-sufficient individual units guarantee a reliable indoor climate and ensure stable temperatures thanks to their redundancy. Precise temperature control makes decentralised systems ideal for various single-storey halls up to 25 metres high and enables different temperature zones within the same hall. The Air-Injector ensures uniform, duct-free air distribution and prevents heat build-up and draughts.

The integrated heat pumps are virtually emission-free, utilise ambient energy and ensure low operating costs. Combining the heat pumps with photovoltaics creates a self-sufficient system – completely without fossil fuels.
