Sustainability at Hoval

Human and nature united

We are fully committed to taking responsibility for energy and the environment

Sustainability is not just a buzzword for us, but a central component of our corporate philosophy. As an international company with around 2,400 employees, we see it as our responsibility to make our contribution to a sustainable future. This responsibility is crucial for long-term success. Our holistic approach, which takes environmental, social and governance factors into account, integrates sustainability deeply into our business model. Besides a customer-orientated focus, our aim is not only to be economically successful, but also  to contribute positively to more ecological stability and social well-being.

Sustainability Reporting at Hoval

"Responsibility for energy and the environment" guides our actions - it has been our guiding principle for more than 50 years. However, climate change and the associated challenges require us to intensify our efforts. In order to be successful in the long term, economic, ecological and social aspects must be given equal consideration in our corporate strategy. As a family business that is also committed to (fundamental) values, we focus on active behaviour. Added value is created when you do more than you have to do, and we have continued our sustainability efforts in established areas both in 2023 and this year. At the same time, we have developed the foundations for a new sustainability strategy. We are continuously and gradually preparing a comprehensive sustainability analysis that also includes our stakeholders. On the basis of dual materiality, we are defining key sustainability topics, formulating specific goals and expanding existing initiatives and measures. From the 2024 financial year, we aim to create transparency with our sustainability reporting based on measurable criteria. In 2025, our sustainability report will also meet the strict requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
